EFICIENȚA ECOLOGICĂ - CONDIȚIE A DEZVOLTĂRII DURABILE ENVIRONMENTAL EFFICIENCY - A CONDITION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
(CEP USM, 2022) Caprian, Iulia; Macari, Dragoș; Lom, Ionuț - Valentin
Sustainable development represents a complex of measures related to satisfying current human needs while respecting the principles of preserving the environment and the rational exploitation of resources. The main objective of sustainable development is the harmonious combination of economic growth, social responsibility, and respect for the environment. Sustainable development aims to meet humanity's current needs without jeopardizing future generations' opportunities. An effective solution to promoting sustainable development is the establishment of the green economy, which promotes the concept of the responsible attitude of humanity towards natural resources and finds the rational compromise between increasing the prosperity of the growing global population and preserving natural resources. One of the ways to achieve a green economy is through the implementation of ecological efficiency related to the optimization of the use of material resources with a minimal negative impact on the environment. A particular direction of the application of eco-efficiency is the establishment of the circular economy, which tends towards the rationalization of the use of resources and the limitation of the negative effects of the production of goods on the environment.
