Item ANDROGINIA PSIHICĂ ŞI STAREA SUBIECTIVĂ DE BINE LA CELIBATARI(CEP USM, 2010) Turchină, Tatiana; Lica, IrinaThe present study examined the relationship between androgynous mental status and psychological well-being to single persons (never-married persons). The purpose of our study was to investigate whether the psychological androgyny is a condition for a single life, and whether subjective well-being depends on gender identity and / or marital status. The results showed that the psychological androgyny is a condition for the bachelorship, and androgynous women choose better to remain single. Sex-typed individuals choose indeed to get married responding to the traditional stereotypes. The results also revealed that single androgynous individuals have a greater well-being compared with single sex-typed individuals. But androgynous married individuals are those wh ose levels of happiness and psychological flourishing are the highest.
