From the perspective of management, assessing the results of activities in relation to objectives of the organization and in conjunction with real context is conducted, is a prerequisite to any approach for improvement or adaptation. At the individual level, organization or system, allow proper evaluation made clear understanding of the deficiencies and pave the way for possible improvements. People are active resources of the organization, because their experience, creativity, potential and development contribute to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. Given those qualities, human resources is one area where investment is not only justified but become the key to maintaining the competitiveness of any organization. The results of the research bear a conceptual, methodological and applicative value and may assist in development projects to create, change and manage the institution. The analysis may be a theoretical and practical aid for government, department and teacher concerned. Performance evaluation is a primary source of information about successful employees as well as on sectors that can be improved, allowing detection of weaknesses, potential and training levels of employees. It is also a mechanism to strengthen the values and organizational culture.

Organizations in the sphere of science and innovation have the mission of achieving scientific research performance. The results of scientific research obtained represent the scientific product of a scientific organization, including a successful University. A particularly significant problem is the application of scientific results obtained within the national economy / a certain industry. Namely, the technological transfer process ensures the connection between scientific research and the practical utility of its results - the market demand for the outputs of the scientific research process. The success of a technology transfer process depends decisively on the commercial value of the results of scientific research and innovation; the extent to which the product / service resulting from scientific research and innovation will have market success.

The goal of innovative academic environment, including the university innovation incubator, consists in accelerate the transfer of research results in the economic environment by providing support creation and development of innovative students start-ups to make competitive products / services, through the Student mentoring network. General objectives of the innovation incubator “Inventica-USM” – establishment and development of innovative student start-ups; creating an effective relationship between technological potential and entrepreneurship; increasing the number of innovative start-ups and spin-offs; increasing the use of the results of research and development; increasing the implementation of patents in the incubated companies. In the innovative process it necessary to involves all parties of the innovative field – experts, mentors, entrepreneurs, investors, representatives of central and local administration.
