    EXCITATION AND PHOTOLUMINESCENCE SPECTRA OF THE COORDINATION COMPOUND [Eu(μ2-OC2H5)(btfa)(NO3)(phen)]2•phen

    This paper presents experimental results on photoluminescence properties of an europium(III) coordination complex under blue-light excitation. The complex [Eu(μ2 -OC2 H5 )(btfa)(NO3 ) (phen)]2 ·phen {btfa = benzoyl trifluoroacetone, phen = 1,10-phenantroline} was investigated by registering the emission and excitation spectra of powder samples at room temperature. The emission spectra show metal-centered luminescence bands, which are assigned to internal radi ative transitions of the Eu3+ ion, 5 D1 →7 Fj and 5 D0 →7 Fj (j = 0–4). Overall, the photoluminescence spectra suggest that the europium ions are situated in a low-symmetry environment.

    Fotoluminescența (PL) reprezintă un instrument eficient pentru investigarea proprietăților de emisie ale compușilor coordinativi ai Eu(III). Este prezentat principiul de funcționare și instrumentarea de bază a tehnicii de fotoluminescență. Configurația este descrisă și este prezentat un exemplu de date experimentale privind compusul de coordonare [Eu(μ2-OC2H5)(btfa)(NO3)(phen)]2·phen. Sunt descrise avantajele și dezavantajele de bază, precum și domeniile de aplicație.
