    ALLIUM FUSCUM WALDST. ET KIT. AND A. SPHAEROPODUM KLOKOV (ALLIACEAE) – RARE SPECIES PROPOSED FOR PROTECTION IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

    The article presents data on distribution of two rare species of vascular plants – Allium fuscum Waldst. et Kit. and Allium sphaeropodum Klokov (Alliaceae Juss. family) in the spontaneous flora, proposed for protection and inclusion in the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova, 4th edition. The following data for these taxa are indicated: Latin, Romanian and Russian names, synonymy, category and criteria of rarity, general and local distribution, habitat,limiting factors, biological and ecological characteristics, aspects of cultivation and use, status and conservation measures protection in the republic.

    ECLIPTA PROSTRATA (L.) L. (ASTERACEAE) – NEW SPECIES FOR THE FLORA OF REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

    The article presents data on the new vascular plant species Eclipta prostrata (L.) L. (=Eclipta alba (L.) Hassk.), belonging to the Asteraceae family, in the spontaneous flora of the Republic of Moldova. Populations of this new species were recorded in the south of the republic, on the territory of the Ramsar site ,,Lower Prut Lakes”. Synonymy, chorology, stationary characteristics, photographic images, black and white diagnostic illustrations are presented, as well as some useful plant properties.

    New data on rare vascular plants in the flora of ,,Lower Prut Lakes” ramsar site (Republic of Moldova). [Articol]

    The article presents data on the results of the monitoring of rare and endangered vascular plants in the ,,Lower Prut Lakes” Ramsar site, in the southwestern part of the Republic of Moldova. New information on the presence of five rare species – Acorus calamus L., Allium sphaeropodum Klokov, Dichodon viscidum (M. Bieb.) Holub, Leucojum aestivum L. and Ornithogalum boucheanum (Kunth) Asch. in the studied territory, as well as bioecological, chorological, habitat, sozological peculiarities, and some population characters are elucidated.

    New findings of Achillea ochroleuca Ehrh, in Republic of Moldova

    The article presents updated data on distribution of Achillea ochroleuca Ehrh. – the threatened species growing in the Ponto-Sarmatic steppes of the Republic of Moldova. Two new locations of Achillea ochroleuca within the the clearings of the forests of downy oak (Quercus pubescens Willd.) – near commune Speia, Anenii Noi district and near commune Baurci- Moldoveni, Cahul district. The morphological description, synonymy, Latin, English, Romanian and Russian names, data on stational characteristics, habitat, quantitative aspect of populations, maps of species distribution in the republic are indicated.

    Rare spontaneous alliaceae species for the red book of Republic of Moldova [Articol]

    The paper presents the rеsults of the study on spontanеous rare vascular plant species from the Alliaceae J. Agardh family, proposed for the inclusion in the 4th edition of the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova. These include 7 endangered species, evaluated according to IUCN criteria as critically endangered, endangered and vulnеrable: 4 critically endangеred species (Allium fuscum Waldst. et Kit., A. guttatum Steven, A. montanum F.W.Schmidt, A. podolicum (Aschers. et Graebn.) Błocki ex Racib.), one threatened (Allium sphaeropodum Klokov) and two vulnerable (Allium inaequale Janka and Nectaroscordum bulgaricum Janka). For thеse taxa the following data are indicatеd: Latin, Romanian and Russian namеs, synonyms, rarity category and criteria, biological charactеristics (including the plant habitus), beneficial features, common and local distribution (with maps of common distribution and distribution in the Republic of Moldova), habitat, protеction status and recommended protection mеasures in the republic.
