    The accuracy in data management and presentation is probably the most relevant feature of library catalogs in the vast universe of information avai- lable online. This definition, which is essential in organizing knowledge, requires constant control activity. Authority control is designed to ensure uniqeness and uniformity of access points in the bibliographic database of the shared catalog. In this article, the investigation field is resumed to the development of working methodologies by presenting effective solutions to solving the problems that arise in the process of cataloging, indexing and authority control process in LibUnivCatalog.

    „Schiţele” privind activitatea organizaţiei sindicale a angajaților Universităţii de Stat din Moldova cuprind perioada anilor 1946-2016. Activitatea organizaţiei sindicale a USM este prezentată în mod general. Autorii acestor „Schiţe” nu şi-au pus drept scop examinarea (cercetarea) activităţii organizaţiei sindicale a USM conform unor principii metodologice şi ştiinţifice stricte. În carte accentul este pus pe activitatea nemijlocită a organizaţiei sindicale în contextul ei cronologic şi conceptualpragmatic conform actelor şi regulamentelor ce vizează acest domeniu, respectând însă rigorile genului publicistic - schiţa.

    The e article presents several milestones from the evolution of the MARC format development, MARC 21 particularly. Th e compatibility of various formats used in the cataloging process is addressed, which is very actual for the international library community under the aspect of information resources integration and data exchange. The paper exposes strengthened eff orts from the university libraries of Moldova oriented towards uniform cataloging rules.

    The theme of the study was shaped by the interest to present the current trends in approaching the development of library processes such as catalo ging and classification in the conditions of transformation of the information space. The processing of documents at another level introduces a new point of reference in establishing the objectives of libraries in the Republic of Moldova, expressed by focusing on the development of collective catalogs.
