    Etica generozității în condițiile societății contemporane [Articol]

    The article deals with the ethics of generosity in general and in the conditions of contemporary society, in particular. The visions of generosity throughout the history of philosophy from antiquity to the present and the religious approaches to this moral virtue are treated. In conclusion, it is stated that generosity is a fundamental component of social relations, because it allows the formation of strong bonds that constitute the basis of society and a harmonious social community.

    This article deals with the issue of ethical aspects of egoism in contemporary society. The author refers to the essence of egoism, the relationship between egoism and altruism, egoism and morality, and carries a description of egoism reasonable emerging from the conceptions of. Th. Hobbes and Jh. Rawls. In his option, egoism reasonable contribute to the development of morality because it assumes that the actions and deeds of egoism are based on reason contributing to care for the other. At the same time, the given article examines the fundamental types of egoism that manifest in contemporary society – egoism suitable and egoism unsuitable, and their specific features are characterized.
