We investigated the quality indices of the green mass and hay from local ecotypes of bird’s-foot trefoil (Lotus corniculatus) and alsike clover (Trifolium hybridum), which grown in monoculture in an experimental field of the National Botanical Garden (Institute) MSU, Chişinău, Republic of Moldova. It was determined that the biochemical composition and nutritive value of the dry matter from bird’s-foot trefoil and alsike clover whole plants was: 16.40-16.54% crude protein, 3.17-3.90% crude fats, 22.44-34.97% crude cellulose, 34.71-49.29% nitrogen free extract, 8.56-10.04% ash, 1.12-1.14% calcium, 0.26-0.27% phosphorus, 4.16-5.54% sugars, 1.53-1.95% starch, 11.72-57.51 mg/kg cartene with 8.22- 9.96 MJ/kg ME and 4.48-5.76 MJ/kg NEl. The biochemical composition and nutritive value of hay dry matter from studied species was: 18.55- 19.69% crude protein, 1.59-2.68% crude fats, 26.90-31.40% crude cellulose, 9.42-10.27% nitrogen free extract, 9.42-10.27 % ash, 1.11-1.26% calcium, 0.28-0.29% phosphorus, 4.23-4.59% sugars, 1.40-1.56% starch, 23.05-68.83 mg/kg cartene with 8.25-8.58 MJ/kg ME and 4.59-4.84 MJ/kg NEl. The studied alsike clover ecotipe have optimal quality as fodder for farm animals.

Evaluarea indicilor de calitate a fitomasei energetice de Dactylis glomerata L. şi Festuca pratensis Huds
(CEP USM, 2024-10-07) Ţîţei, Victor; Ababii, Alexei; Blaj Vasile; Doroftei, Veaceaslav; Gadibadi, Mihai; Andreoiu, Andreea; Marușca, Teodor; Gudima, Andei; Tod, Monica; Daraduda, Nicolae
We studied the quality indices of the energy phytomass from perennial grass Dactylis glomerata and Festuca pratensis, collected from the experimental field of the National Botanical Garden (Institute) MSU, Chişinău. The quality indices of green mass substrates for anaerobic digestion: 92-98 g/kg CP, 359-389 g/kg CF, 76-80 g/kg CA, 648-682 g/kg NDF, 380-412 g/kg ADF, 33-41 g/kg ADL, 347-371 g/kg Cel, 269-270g/kg HC, with C/N=32.74-34.72 and biochemical methane potential 337-350 l/kg ODM. The quality indices of phytomass (straw) substrates: 771-799 g/kg NDF, 478-484 g/kg ADF, 54-65 g/kg ADL, 419-424 g/kg Cel, 293- 315g/kg HC and theoretical ethanol yield from structural carbohydrates averaged 522-533 L/t. The quality indices of solid biofuel–pellets: 8.01-9.03% ash, 18.10-18.44 MJ/kg GCV, 16.73-17.07 MJ/kg NCV with bulk density 595-652 kg/m3 and durability 93-96%.
