It delves into the cultural, political, and historical dimensions in approaching this phenomenon, as well as certain aspects pertaining to the methodology of researching national and European identity, and the dialectical interaction between these two identity dimensions. It is noted in this context that determining and implementing the model of European identity represents one of the primary tasks in the development of the European Union. The authors highlight the multitude of historical, political, social, and normative paradigms concerning this phenomenon.
