DOI: https://doi.org/10.59295/lrr2023.07.The paper presents and analyses the opinions of Grigore Ureche and Miron Costin regarding the unity of Romanians from the Carpatho-Danubian-Pontic space and their Latinity, interpreted in a double perspective: from the point of view of Romanian historians, regarding the notions of „neam” (the word cannot be properly translated into English; „folks” represents just an approximation) and „nation”; from the point of view of the ”perennialist” historiographical school regarding the nation.
