By placing his students in various instructional situations, he transforms the educational institution “into a temple and a laboratory” (M. Eliade). Starting from literature in the field (Cerghit, Mucchielli), teaching methods are historically divided into traditional methods and modern methods. Not everything that is old is necessarily outdated, just as not everything that is new is modern. It is easier for the teacher in the traditional type of teaching, but the education reform emphasizes the importance of switching the emphasis from the informative side of the educational process to the formative one. A successful methodology involves the interweaving of the two models, having different proportions between them, depending on the objectives pursued, the collective, and the learning content.roteacherstudenttypes of teachingtypes of learningteaching methodstraditional methodsmodern methodsAbordări tradiționale și moderne în predarea limbilor străine în instituțiile de învățământ superior cu profil sportiv [Articol]Traditional and modern approaches to teaching foreign languages in higher education institutions with a sports profileArticle
