Therefore, it falls on each Member State to ensure the effective protection of the fundamental rights. In this regard, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova has guided itself by the case-law of the Strasbourg Court on a regular basis, and continues to do so, making use of practically the same interpretation modalities so as to comply with the European standards set by the Convention.
