The research sample consisted of 70 people aged between 25-35 years. The following methods were applied in the research: Optimism level test according to K. Scheer and M. Carver (adapted by T.O. Gordeeva, Sychev and E.N. Osin) and Humor style questionnaire according to R. Martin. The obtained results highlight a link of interdependence between the variables included in the research. For female subjects, self-motivating humor shows a significant correlation with optimism, positive expectation and negative expectations. Also, aggressive humor shows a significant correlation with negative expectations and optimism. In male subjects, we highlight a positive correlation between affiliative humor and negative expectations. The conclusions highlight the role of optimism in the human experience as a positive aspect of strengthening social bonds and interpersonal relationships, thinking about the future and achieving goals, as well as a negative influence on unrealistic aspirations and hopes.ruoptimismhumor stylespositive emotionsinterpersonal relationsyoung peopleOPTIMISMUL ȘI STILURILE DE UMOR LA TINERIOPTIMISM AND HUMOR STYLES IN YOUNG PEOPLEArticle
