Taking into account the character of national interest in environmental protection in ensuring of sustainable development, adoption of the new Contravention Code included the legal provisions for solving gaps of the previous Code. In particular, authors described new contraventions against the environment, their specific features. The performed investigations allow the authors to argue the need for a comprehensive reform in this domain.
