It is mentioned that studies in the field emphasize indicators and dimensions of quality of life, which have no important role in promoting public policies. The author notes that a source of concern is the fact that the concept of quality of life implies the objective of ensuring well-being and that material well-being is an element which, in combination with other elements, contributes to a fulfilled existence. The article also analyzes the difficulties of measuring quality of life indicators.
