Chişinău: CEP USM, 2024, pp. 305-317.The paper briefly analyses some aspects of the hybrid war waged by the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova, which have an influence on the population's sense of identity. The aim of the communication is to show the messages in the pro-Russian media and not only, messages which aim at dividing citizens according to different identity criteria. The theses of historians are also reviewed, which bear the imprint of political confrontations. An important aspect of identity is the Romanian language, which has failed to become the bond of identity of the citizens, due to political factors that have been linked to the Russian area of influence.
