In April 2023, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling on the European Commission and the European Council to open accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova at the fulfillment of the nine stages identified by the European Commission. The December 2023 approval of accession talks by the EU Council sent a very strong message about the direction the country is heading. However, despite the many positive changes that have occurred in the European course of the country in recent years, there is still a series of challenges at the local and regional level, economic and energy-related problems that the Republic of Moldova is facing at the current stage, all of these affecting the accession process. We will refer to some of these aspects in the next article.roEuropean accessioneconomic and energy challengesnational/regional securitysecurity EU structurestransnistrean regionPARCURSUL EUROPEAN AL REPUBLICII MOLDOVA LA ETAPA ACTUALĂTHE EUROPEAN PATH OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA AT THE CURRENT STAGEArticlehttps://doi.org/10.59295/spd2024s.34
