Chişinău: Print-Caro, 2024. pp. 173-180.The implementation of the models for flexibility of the way and working time for civil servants in the central and local public adminis- tration in the context of European integration is an important necessity in the efforts to reform the public administration in the Republic of Moldova. One of the major challenges in the short and medium term for local public administrations is the adaptation to European requirements and standar- ds, including the support of accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union. The COVID-19 pandemic has further highlighted the importance of adapting to new ways of working, including telecommuting and remote working. Harmonization of national legislation to European standards in the field of work flexibility can bring multiple benefits to both employees and the public sector as a whole. First of all , a balanced work of culture promotes employee health and well-being. By offering flexible work options, civil servants can better manage their personal and pro- fessional lives, reducing stress levels and improving quality of life. In the second place, harmonization of national legislation to European standards regarding work flexibility can help to attract and retain talent in the public sector. By offering flexible working arrangements, public administration becomes more attractive to talented professionals who are interested in maintaining a work-life balance. The implementation of the models for flexibility of the way and working time for civil servants in the central and local public administration in the context of European integration is an important necessity in the efforts to reform the public administration in the Republic of Moldova.
