În medicină, un eponim este numele savantului, pe care îl poartă un sindrom, o boală, o probă, un test, o metodă. În articolul dat se analizează aspectul structural-semantic al eponimelor din domeniul medicinei dentare, statutul și rolul lor în cadrul acestei terminologii.The terminology of different branches of science contains eponyms. These terminological units include a proper name in their structure. A medical eponym is any syndrome, disease, test, method, clinical sign or medical technique that bears the name of the author or the scientist who was the first to discover, use or describe it.
