The author refers to the essence of egoism, the relationship between egoism and altruism, egoism and morality, and carries a description of egoism reasonable emerging from the conceptions of. Th. Hobbes and Jh. Rawls. In his option, egoism reasonable contribute to the development of morality because it assumes that the actions and deeds of egoism are based on reason contributing to care for the other. At the same time, the given article examines the fundamental types of egoism that manifest in contemporary society – egoism suitable and egoism unsuitable, and their specific features are characterized.roegoismaltruismmoralityArticle
