Soviet medievalist V. Koroliuk characterized Pavel Sovetov as “a brilliant self-taught man”. He is considered the founder of the scientific school of the typology of medieval society in Moldova and South-Eastern Europe, a consideration that allowed the avoidance of unilateral treatment in the perimeter of historical research. Among the topics addressed were the socio-economic dynamics of law in medieval Moldova. It is significant that it has theoretical interpretations regarding the typology of feudal society as a whole, and those regarding Moldova in particular. The foundation of these visions lies in the connection between state and private property. For the first time, it presented a new model of agrarian development and the medieval social structure in Moldova.roMoldovan RSSeducationSovetov, PavelPAVEL SOVETOV (1927–1991) : UN JURIST ÎNTRE ISTORICIPavel Sovetov (1927–1991): a lawyer between historiansArticle
