    The impact of socially prescribed perfectionism on professional burnout with consideration of gender differences: a study among IT specialists in Moldova

    This article examines the relationship between socially prescribed perfectionism and professional burnout among IT specialists in Moldova, with a focus on analyzing gender differences in this correlation. The study is based on data collected using standardized surveys, including the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale by Hewitt and Flett and the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT). The results confirm the hypothesis that socially prescribed perfectionism significantly correlates with the level of professional burnout. Furthermore, it was found that gender differences influence this relationship, with men showing higher correlation rates between perfectionism and burnout. The article discusses both theoretical and practical aspects of the results, highlighting the need to consider gender differences when developing corporate programs aimed at reducing stress and preventing professional burnout. Recommendations are provided for HR departments of IT companies, emphasizing the importance of creating tailored support programs to reduce perfectionistic expectations and enhance employees’ psychological well-being.

    PARTICULARITĂȚILE INTELIGENȚEI EMOȚIONALE LA STUDENȚI

    The article presents the result of an experimental research dedicated to emotional intelligence at students. In order to study emotional intelligence on all sample which include 128 students from a University from Chișinău we applied The R. Bar-on and D. Goleman emotional intelligence test modified by M. Roco. As results we established that for all students are characteristic only below medium and medium level of emotional intelligence. According to gender variable the medium level of emotional intelligence is more particular for men then for women. Consistent to year of study we underline that the highest frequencies to medium level of emotional intelligence is recording to second and third years of study students.

    DIFERENȚE DE GEN PRIVIND PERCEPȚIA CONFLICTULUI MUNCĂ-FAMILIE

    Studiul a fost realizat în cadrul programului „Generații și Gen”. Cercetarea de față și-a propus identificarea diferențelor de gen în manifestarea conflictului muncă-familie, și anume percepția privind conflictul muncă-familie la femei și bărbați. În cadrul cercetării au fost implicați 10 044 persoane, cu vârsta cuprinsă între 15 și 79 dintre care: 38,1% persoane de gen masculin și 61,9% persoane de gen feminin. Rezultatele studiului sunt utile managerilor, specialiștilor în resurse umane, psihologilor organizaționali, actorilor implicați în procesul de luare a deciziilor privind politicile sociale, reprezentanților organizațiilor non-guvernamentale etc.
